Eleanor Roosevelt changed the world for so many people, and she did it back in a time when it was hard to stand up for what you believed in. Roosevelt changed the world in so many different ways, she helped women get better jobs and more respect, she stood up for Civil Rights and refused to let anyone treat anybody different, just because they had a different skin color or gender or religion or anything. She helped to heal soldiers and tried to make their lives happier. She helped so many people and groups and inspired many, I hope that people start to remember her as more than a first lady. She was a very important figure in history, she was alive for both world wars and helped the soldiers in both of them. She fought her husband on sending Japanese people to camps, she knew that wasn’t the right thing to do. Eleanor was born in 1884 and lived until 1962. She lived through two World Wars and many presidents. Eleanor Roosevelt really should be put in the Virtual Museum, because she always stood up for what she thought and believed to be right, and she believed that nobody should ever be treated differently than everyone else, even if they had a different gender, religion, race, or even sexuality. Eleanor Roosevelt really was the first lady of the world. - Ella O-B.
