Rosa Parks is remembered for being a civil rights activist. She helped the world realize that white and African Americans should be equal. But they weren't always, African Americans were always separate from whites. Rosa saw that when she was arrested for not sitting in the section assigned to her race. She sat in the white section because no one was there. She was then kicked off and brought to jail. She was bailed out by Edgar Nixon. She went on to live a full life. Rosa served as a secretary then eventually she retired from the NAACP and she died in 2005. She traveled the world and spoke out about hate violence and equality. - Jayme H.
