August 6, 1945 the residents of Hiroshima were in shock, a large mushroom cloud loomed over the broken city. The invention of Nuclear weapons changed the world forever. They were used in World War II by the United states in a successful attempt to force the Japanese surrender. Ever since nuclear weapons were used they have been spread to more countries. They have been upgraded and improved to be more powerful than before. They have enough weapons to wipe out millions of innocents. They killed millions of people during the second world war, they have spread to different countries, and governments spend millions to build and maintain them. - Alex R.
